Instruction for authors

If you have any difficulty with the instructions, please do not hesitate to contact us. (hendri@cs.utwente.nl)

Both regular papers and invited papers should be 15 pages at most.

We have prepared a SID style- and document template file for LaTeX. These can be downloaded from this page. Please follow the instructions described in the template.
For pictures, please use the epsfig.sty or graphics/graphicx package that allows embedding encapsulated postscript (.eps) files.
If you have difficulty using LaTeX, please contact us. (Microsoft Word files can be processed, email us if you have to use this option)

For bibliographic references we prefer a name-date style. The SID style forces the use of natbib.sty with apalike.bst. If you want to use the lap citation commands, you can add the class option lap at the very beginning of your document ( \documentclass[lap]{sid}). This is explained in the template document. With the lap option \cite gives the author name plus the year without parentheses; \cite* gives only the year. Instead of sending a complete .bib file, rather send the reference list from the .bbl file.

The preferred way of submission is by e-mail. Please send the LaTeX source file (with additional files like pictures) to sid04@cs.utwente.nl.
