Bram van de Laar

Bram van de Laar is a PhD candidate working on Brain-Computer Interfaces and User Experience. He received his BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Human Media Interaction from the University of Twente in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He was a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab with the Information Ecology group in 2012. His research interests include: Brain-Computer Interfaces, Multi Modal Interaction and User Experience Design and Evaluation.

Bram is involved in teaching for the master's Human Media Interaction. He co-created a new course called 'Brain-Computer Interfaces' and has supervised 10 Bachelor's theses, (co)supervised 3 Master's theses and supervised several group projects on various HCI related topics. He also actively contributed to the Metaverse1 (ITEA2) project which won a silver medal award as well as to the BrainGain (SmartMix) project.
