Brain-Computer and Computer-Brain Interfaces: devices for detecting and modifying brain activity Detecting and modifying brain activity is currently one of the fastest developing areas of research. It promises to bring applications that have long been thought to be only science fiction, ranging from mind-controlled computer games to so-called mental prostheses and treatment for conditions previously thought untreatable.
Our research focuses on brain-computer interfaces for healthy users and specifically on their potential to revolutionize human-computer interaction.
I this context we organize a workshop on BCI and emotions in association with the Conference on Affective Computing and Intelligent Interaction (ACII'09). The workshop Affective Brain-Computer Interfaces was held on the 9th of September 2009 in Amsterdam at De Rode Hoed.
